We receive so much feedback about our beautiful rooms and the sense of peace and calm that they evoke, but a comment we heard through our intercom from one of our families is the most heartwarming comment yet.
It went like this …. A daughter was heard saying to her mum, ‘Do you know what I love about coming to this place? I feel like I am walking into heaven’
We are so proud of the spaces that we have created for the families that we care for.
Our families who visit our funeral home to organise the farewell of a loved one or to spend time with them to say their private goodbyes, will do so in a beautiful space that is warm and welcoming. Every aspect of the design and its styling has been meticulously thought through to ensure that the experience is as beautiful, comfortable and memorable as possible.
The Ivory Room is a special room for us, and to be honest probably one of the first rooms of its kind in this industry. It evolved after Karen referred close family friends to another funeral home before the time of Taylor’d Funerals. Unfortunately, the experience for her friends who had unexpectedly lost their precious little girl Ivory was far from adequate during what was already a very distressing time for them. From this experience Karen decided that no family would ever have to go through that again.
And so, The Ivory Room was created.
Our families do not see their little ones in a coffin. Instead, they are able to spend time with them in the comfort of our baby/child specific viewing room where their little one will be at rest in either a bassinet or cot, surrounded by textures, colours and lighting that create a sense of peace and calm.
